Butler Group Desktop Strategy Event with ukngroup and Sun Microsystems

January 10, 2008

ukngroup is proud to announce its participation in the Butler Group Desktop Strategy Briefing on Wednesday 30th January 2008.

Featuring alongside worldwide technology partner Sun Microsystems, the ukngroup team will be on hand to introduce their vision for thin-client computing and demonstrate their unique approach to the challenge of streamlining cumbersome desktop environments.

"Butler Group analysts are recognised industry experts and their insights will be key to the technology choices being made by businesses during 2008", said Bob Smart, ukngroup’s Head of Business Development.

“We see that for many organisations Ultra Thin-Client is the ideal opportunity to simplify the day-to-day processes associated with providing a Microsoft Windows desktop to users along with any line of business applications they may require”, he added.

A case study presented by one of ukngroup’s clients, The Rural Payments Agency, will offer delegates an insider’s view on how large scale UTC transformation can be accomplished without disruption. Also, how by switching to Ultra Thin-Clients, they achieved significant overall cost savings and a 260 tonne reduction in their carbon footprint.
